XXXTENTACION

He is the biggest influences of my music and music taste. He was originaly the one who got me into underground rap music, and good thing he did. Thats kind of the reason why I wish to go by GXSPEL MUSIC, as the song that got me intrested in this type of music is called GOSPEL by XXXTENTACION, Keith Ape and Rich Brian. Though Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, otherwise known as XXXTENTACION, was assasinated on June 18, 2018, his legacy lives on as one of the people to first blow from soundcloud, therefore starting  the fire for the age of soundcloud rappers. His music was also very reflective on his feelings and personality as he was suffering through depression. Therefore, you can see some of his music is either sad or really hardcore in a scarlxrd type of sense.

Here are some of his less known bangers.

Scarlxrd

This is one of the huge influences on my music, my music taste, and style preferences. Marius Listhrop, otherwise known as Scarlxrd, is know for is hardcore death metal like rap. Though it sounds mainly like screaming, most of it is just releasing his emotions and anger from his life. I also like how he didn't follow the normal british norm of going into the grunge genre of rap. He instead just made his own style. The style he dresses is something that I look at as something that also influences me. He is one, or if not the biggest, Trap Metal Producers in the industry. I'm pretty sure you don't know what Trap Metal is, but that's alright

This is one of his newest songs that I liked (Above).
Some of his best songs in my opinion (Below)

Night Lovell

Picture
Shermar Paul, known professionally as Night Lovell, is a Canadian rapper and record producer from Ottawa, Ontario. Relatively unknown like the others,  he is another big influence on my music, but unlike the others, I like the music he produces. It's big. It's bold. But most importantly, it's filled with bass. Like I mean if you edit the bass a bit, you could blow your subwoofer. I feel he is relatively underrated a producer as many people want bass and although he has it, nobody want to listen. Due to his unique view at beat production, I look to his music for inspiration.

This is probably the only song I'll never get tired of. Deira City Centre is probably the most clean song I have heard up till now. No other song  that I have listened to has the smooth flow between lyrics and beats.

Oliver Francis/Oliver~

Picture
Oliver Francis is the stage name of Alex Kelly, a rapper and producer from Columbia, Missouri, who gained an online following for his assertive rhymes and atmospheric beats during the late 2010s. He has a very millennial vibe to his music, but that kind of adds to his relatability and I respect that of him. He loves anime which is very me lel. I love his grind from literally having nothing to earning 6 figures. He makes his lyrics, music videos, and beats all on his own which is actually kind of surprising for what you'd call a soundcloud rapper. Despite him and his music being heavily influenced by punk rock, he's very much a new wave rapper. I highly recommend the songs listed below.

San Holo

This is one of his songs as I said that is versatile in use and can be used in a number of different ways. I specifically use this song to either study or to have some background music while I game.
Sander van Dijck, better known by his stage name San Holo, is a Dutch DJ, musician, record producer and composer from Zoetermeer. He is probably the only EDM artist that still has a huge impact on me. His simplistic jumpy, heavenly feel to his music isn't only serene, but is something I use to study and calm myself down. It's not only hype but peaceful feel to it makes any time either happy of hype weather at a party, gaming with friends, or just studying. That's why I like his music. Not only can u just plainly listen to it, but you can use it to help you in your daily life (just a side note, that all may just be for me).

Influential music

When it come to influences, obviously people think of other people, but for me is not just only people, but its music. Some songs have a Beat, Bassline, or a phrase that can inspire me to create. Here are some...
This is song, by Daz Merchant and Nessly, just brings  a  dark vibe. The dark vibe came from the low octave IT theme, mixed with a nice bass line. This showed me that you can take a simple little sound, sample it, and then make it into something great.
Like most of the music I listen to, it's mainly from the youtube channel T r a s h G x n g. Though they are mainly anime music videos (AMV'S), the songs playing in the background are pretty interesting. One such song is this, $NOT-GOSHA. It blends a small humming tune with a hard dark rap beat, and therefore creating something special. Well, to me atleast.
O r i g i n a l
This is an example of a remix that I liked. Despite how simple it was, it still seemed to make a huge difference. This showed me that no matter how small the adjustment is, it can still make a huge difference.
